Black July Eelam Tamil protest,London 1983. Protesting Sinhalese led anti-Tamil Pogrom, riot and massacre in Sri Lanka marking the beginning of the Sri Lankan Civil War. Over 3,000 Tamils were murdered and over 150.000 people made homeless. Many Tamils fled to other countries forming Tamil diaspora communities.
