Gordon Wasson( 1898-1986) an American author and ethnomycologist. His book 'Seeking the Magic Mushroom' introduced psychoactive mushrooms to a wide audience. Wasson was one of the first Westerners to participate in a Mazatec ceremony and to describe the psychoactive effects of the Psilocybe species.
