Eco-Warriors fighting against a corporate takeover of parkland took to the trees at Big Willow eco camp in Crystal Palace. They squatted the land for nearly a year (1998-1999) living in tree houses and dug out tunnels. Bromley Council had plans to build a vast leisure complex which would destroy much of the parkland.
